Every rescued dog is a success story, and this group can be a place to share your dog's own story while meeting other people who have made the same commitment to saving an animal from a shelter, the streets, or any other bad situation. Join us for a casual leashed walk around Prospect Park in Brooklyn. Since many people are kind enough to adopt dogs with behavioral issues, this isn't a playgroup, but rather a low-key pack walk. Our walks generally last 1.5 hours, and may involve some hills and/o …

PAWS is a nonprofit organization incorporated in 1962 by Westport, Connecticut resident Betty Long to rescue homeless dogs and place them in permanent homes. Many of the dogs faced euthanasia at local pounds and most of the cats that we help are strays and abandoned cats that roam our streets. A portion of the pets that come to PAWS have been relinquished by …

Hi Everyone! Thank you for your interest in The New Milford Animal Rights Advocacy Group! Cairn Terrier Lovers unite! I see you on the streets but never in the dog park. I was inspired to start this group when I noticed that my Cairn Terrier, Frankie, seemed to love playing with other Cairns more than non-cairns. Don't get me wrong, he loves playing with them too, but his ferocious play growl is often misunderstood by less ferocious players. If you are a Cairn person, or just love them, please join and play like you mean it!
This meetup is "going to the dogs"...Pugs to be precise!!! Okay, so you're owned by a Pug; that goes without saying! I am too, as are many others. Our steadily-growing group of friendly Pugaholics & their Pugs meet for outings once a month (with "special events" tossed in for good measure), in order to provide our furbabies (& ourselves) some time for socialization …
