The Ashtabula County Animal Protective League (APL) is in desperate need of donations as generous as possible, or it may be forced to become a kill shelter. The lives of at least 40 dogs hang in the balance. They are hoping to adopt out as many dogs as possible in the next couple of weeks. I am going to adopt a female companion for the male I rescued a couple years ago.

I have included a link below to the news article appearing in the Ashtabula Star Beacon on Thursday, November 15. The shelter is located in Kingsville, about 50 miles east of Cleveland off Route 90.

If you know of someone, or any rescue groups, who might be interested in helping the APL, either financially or by adopting a dog, please contact the APL at 440-224-1222, or forward a copy of this message.

I realize shelters everywhere need the same help, but wanted to get this out to a public forum and try to help our local shelter and the precious lives within it.

Thanks for all you do to help animals.
