Please post this to the

I talked with David Flagler this morning about things that the community can do to assist AC&C. There are matters that can't be discussed publicly at this time, having to do with budget cuts and the new facility. They have plenty of food... the problem may be in that there are several dogs to a run and some are piglets !
They do need volunteers - who must go through a
training program and be City certified - to drive a city vehicle and deliver
animals to the different Petsmarts locations to the rescue organizations willing
to showcase the animals on Saturdays and then pick up the animals at the end of
day.
They also need volunteers who would come in one day a week for a few hours to bath and dry and brush dogs to make them ready for adoption.
All volunteers must go through the city training program and be certified.
If you are interested and would like to assist AC&C to provide better care for the animals please contact the Mandarin Adoption Center at 904-886-4375 and ask for Sherry. She is responsible for the training and certification.
The volunteers for providing transportation to deliver animals is very much needed to continue with the adoption programs on the weekend due to shortages in manpower at AC&C.
